THE STORY
Enter Nostalgia is a Bay Area clothing label rooted in Filipino American heritage — shaped by the city, built on vintage silhouettes, and for a long time, known primarily to the people who already knew. That changed when the NFL tapped them as the first brand in the NFL Origins cohort for Super Bowl LX. Not the second. Not one of several. First.
The collection launched February 6th on nflshop.com. It sold out.
brownCHILD was brought in to handle behind-the-scenes photography and video, and production support — embedded inside a campaign shoot spanning a San Francisco set house and the Bay Bridge. The assignment was to document a Bay Area brand stepping onto the biggest stage in American sports, in their own city.
THE WORK
BTS on a production like this isn't passive documentation — it's understanding what the moment actually is and shooting accordingly. This wasn't just a brand shoot. It was a Filipino American label from the Bay, working with the NFL, producing official merch for a Super Bowl being played in the city that made them. Every frame needed to carry that.
The production moved between a controlled set house environment and the Bay Bridge — two completely different sets of variables. Indoors meant managing the rhythm of a commercial shoot, staying sharp between takes, being useful in production while never losing focus on the creative. The Bay Bridge brought scale, natural light, and the full iconography of San Francisco as backdrop. Moving between those two worlds without losing continuity in the coverage required staying adaptable and visually deliberate throughout.
THE OUTCOME
The NFL Origins collection launched to the public on February 6th. The Nostalgia line sold out.
brownCHILD's behind-the-scenes work documented a milestone — a Bay Area brand with Filipino American roots being chosen by the NFL to represent Super Bowl LX in their hometown, with vintage-inspired official merch that the league featured on NFL.com. Coverage that existed inside a cultural moment most people only saw from the outside.
